Selection trials to pick Force’s best

Edition 4908, 17 May, 2007
The encounter between RAAF Base Williamtown and RAAF Base Amberley is expected to be the highlight of the 2007 Rugby League Carnival at Williamtown on May 25.

Traditionally it is a hard-fought battle.

Members from all other bases are encouraged to attend to be selected for a third team to play an invitation side.

All players will be vying for selection in the Air Force team to play against Navy and Army in Sydney on May 31 and
June 2.

Air Force had a searching trial when pipped 24-22 by Army in the recent curtain-raiser to the Anzac Test at Brisbane’s Suncorp Stadium.

The Air Force Rugby League committee will also hold its annual meeting at Williamtown in conjunction with the carnival and will elect a new committee.
