Long-Term benefits will accrue to Permanent and Reserve Air Force members who participate in the Data Quality Assurance (DQA) project being conducted by the Directorate of Military Administration–Air Force (DMA-AF).
“This year DMA-AF is embarking on an ambitious project to verify the accuracy of information held in PMKeyS for all Air Force personnel,” the Director of Military Administration, GPCAPT Andrew Elfverson, said.
“A Data Remediation Team (DRT) has been formed within DMA-AF to help personnel ensure the accuracy of their PMKeyS records.
“All members are urged to check their PMKeyS Self Service (PSS) record and review their data, paying particular attention to proficiencies and qualifications. If anomalies exist, the DRT is here to help.
“Input from all Air Force personnel will be critical to the success of this project. The accuracy of Air Force PMKeyS personnel records directly affects the way in which pay, promotion and capabilities are reported.
“The power to ensure that all deserving pay rises and promotions are received has been placed in the hands of all Air Force members and by completing the self-assessment of your personal data, you will be in the best position to ensure that you receive any benefits that you are entitled to,” he said.
Responding to the request will be simple. An easy step-by-step PSS self-assessment list will guide the individual through all the necessary areas to search for correctness.
If any inaccuracies are found, members can either self-correct through PSS or submit a ‘request for update to data record’ spreadsheet.
DEFGRAM 171/2007 of March 5 this year contains all relevant information on the DQA process and what is expected of all individuals and their supervisors.
Returns will be accepted from individuals or groups as desired by unit processes.
