AUSTRALIAN Air Force Cadets’ 2WG recently concluded the largest cadet promotions courses yet held in Australia, when 315 trainees graduated at a parade at RAAF Base Amberley on January 27.
The cadets had completed training in leadership at the cadet under officer, cadet warrant officer, cadet sergeant, and cadet corporal levels, including studying for a Certificate III in Business (Frontline Management).
All courses graduated together with 36SQN CO WGCDR Linda Corbould as reviewing officer.
WGCDR Corbould also found time to mentor aspiring Air Force pilots, twins CSGT Elyshia and Sahsa Reed, who were graduates of the CUO’s promotion course. The girls, who joined the AAFC at age 13, have been inseparable on each of their promotion courses.
On completion of the parade, WGCDR Corbould showed the two new graduates over the controls of the C-17.
