New Air Command Bulletin

ACAUST AVM John Quaife has introduced a new publication to provide a more detailed insight into the changes reshaping Air Force.
The ‘Air Command Bulletin’ will appear quarterly and is designed for Air Command members – who understand the background to many of the subjects discussed and the technical jargon used – and will focus on issues confronting Air Command.
The Air Command Bulletin is available at http://intranet.defence.gov.au/RaafWeb/sites/AIRCOM

Defence Census coming

A CENSUS of Defence staff will be conducted on May 16 to capture demographic information on all ADF members and Defence public service employees.
This information will enable Defence to meet the needs of its people, enhance recruitment and retention, as well as model the workforce structure required to meet future military capability.
Participation is voluntary and confidentiality measures will preserve the privacy and anonymity of all respondents.

Parliamentarians gear up

The ADF Parliamentary Program (ADFPP) for 2007 has been launched at Parliament House by the Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister for Defence Peter Lindsay.
The program offers parliamentarians a number of ADF attachment options, with 16 programmed for this year, including fast-jet aircrew training at RAAF Base Williamtown and joining a Mission Rehearsal Exercise to prepare a Battle Group for operations in Iraq.
Selected ADF members are also attached to parliamentarians’ offices at Parliament House for one week as part of the program.
