Not too late
Nora Jones
EMI

SHE’S back. Be prepared for more of Nora’s sultry jazz at the next dinner party you go to as this, her third album, is sure to be just as popular as the previous two. Not quite as fast-paced as her earlier albums, this one seems to be somehow quieter and more reflective and is perhaps a little lacking because of it. None-the-less, there’s some great tracks including Wish I could and the title track Not too late.

Disco Divas

EMI Classics

THIS two-disc set spanning 20 years of the disco era from 1974 to 1994 could be condensed into one disc of classic chart toppers, with Gloria Gaynor’s I Will Survive, Blondie’s Heart of Glass, and Irene Cara’s What a Feeling. But as for the majority of the 41 boppy songs, thank goodness for the skip function on the disc player. Unfortunately Disco Divas didn’t live up to my expectations.
