| Upgrade underway for ROMAN Volume 49, No. 03, March 08, 2007 |
| A PROJECT to modernise the existing Defence financial system is in progress. The upgrade will address ongoing supportability issues with ROMAN (Resource and Output Management and Accounting Network) and provide a much-needed new capability for Defence, primarily in relation to funds management and cost capture. The project is being run in two stages and is due for completion by June 30 next year. A series of information sessions will be held during March and April, with visits planned for most Defence areas. The sessions are aimed specifically at staff that use ROMAN as part of their duties, as well as their supervisors and managers.
