| Laverton school reunion The 40th anniversary reunion of Laverton High School and Secondary College, located near RAAF Base Williams, will be held on Saturday, April 28, from 7.30-10.30pm in the school hall. The catered function will cost $25 per person. On Sunday, April 29, a sausage sizzle will be held from 11am-4pm for families, with school photos and memorabilia on display. The event is open to dependants from the RAAF, Army and RAN who were born in Japan between 1947 and 1953. The reunion will also celebrate the 60th anniversary of the arrival in Japan of the first group of BCOF Australian wives and children in the S.S. Taiping on May 31, 1947.
