Central Band
December 3: The Concert Band will
perform Christmas Carols at the Point Cook Chapel, RAAF Base Williams,
Point Cook.
December 6: The Ceremonial Band will support the 1RTU graduation
parade at RAAF Base Edinburgh at 1pm.
December 8: The Ceremonial Band will support the OTS graduation
parade at RAAF Base Williams, Point Cook, from 11.30am.
December 8: The Catalina Wind Quintet will provide music for the
OTS graduation dinner at the Point Cook Officers Mess from
7pm.
December 8: The Ceremonial Band will support the 2FTS 206 Pilots
Course graduation parade at RAAF Base Pearce.
December 9: The Ceremonial Band will support the 21SQN annual
presentation parade at RAAF Base Williams, Laverton, from 5pm.
December 10: The Central Band will perform Christmas favourites
at the Coburg Carols by the Lake at Coburg Lake, Lake Grove (off
Murray Road), from 6.30pm.
December 10: The Catalina Wind Quintet will perform an ABC Classic
FM Sunday Live concert at Iwaki Auditorium, ABC Southbank Complex,
at 3pm.
December 13: The Ceremonial Band will support the RMIT graduation
parade at the RMIT city campus in Melbourne from 10am.
December 17: The Concert Band will perform Christmas favourites
at the Mordialloc Carols by the Bay at Peter Scullen Reserve,
Mordialloc, from 8.15pm.
Air Command Band
December 4: The Clarinet Quartet
will support the CAFs dinner, at the Boathouse Restaurant
at Grevillea Park in Canberra from 7pm.
December 4: The Parade Band will support the arrival of the C-17
at RAAF Base Fairbairn.
December 7: The Parade Band will perform at the RAAFSTT Parade
at RAAF Base Wagga.
December 12: 15 members of the Air Command Band will deploy to
the MEAO to perform 15 tasks in 13 days. They are due to arrive
home on January 4, 2007.
Apprentice
reunion
The annual reunion of RAAF ex-apprentices
will be held on Saturday January 27, 2007. This function is for
all ex-apprentices and their partners and will be held at the
Melbourne RSL, Duckboard House, 91 Flinders Lane, Melbourne, from
1pm to 5.30pm. The entry fee will be $10.00 and dress is neat
casual.

Silent WWII heroes sought
Contributors are being sought for a new book being written by
Fay Karamanakis called A Tribute to the Silent Heroes. Kay is
looking for people who served in the military during WWII for
Australia and any American personnel who were stationed in Darwin
during the period.
