THE Hong Kong film industry is top notch – good-quality acting, brilliant special effects and good scripts. The Infernal Affairs trilogy has a bit of a cult following, and smash hits in Hong Kong. Snaps aside, under no circumstances see Infernal Affairs II without seeing the first. The plot is a bit too cleverly crafted and it’s easy to get very lost with the huge cast of characters.
The trilogy is about a nasty triad boss and the police force – typical cop drama with an extra dose of action.
