Don’t forget your DRN account this posting cycle
Volume 48, No. 18, October 05, 2006
WITH the posting cycle on the horizon, Air Force members are encouraged to organise the relocation of their DRN account before moving on.
“With all the turmoil at posting time, the last thing you’d need is trouble using the DRN at your new location,” Defence’s Communication Services Executive Development Manager, WGCDR Mark Bosma, said.
“Using the ‘Are you being posted’ icon early to arrange the relocation of your DRN account before your posting will mean there is one less problem to worry about.”
This will also enable the IT Service Desk to get on with the task of supporting the day-to-day operation of the DRN, which will be particularly important when thousands of Defence members are moving from one base to another.
To arrange the relocation of their DRN account, members should visit the DRN CIOG home page at http://intranet.defence.gov.au/ciogweb, click on the easily recognisable green ‘Posting’ icon and follow the instructions, which will direct users to the self-help ‘Are you being posted’ icon.
This icon on the DRN desktop will be updated to make it more user-friendly. The operating instructions will also be modified to be specific and understandable to DRN users.
Air Force personnel who need to relocate their DSN account should log an Electronic Network Access Request (eNAR) through the DSN home page four weeks before moving.
