ONE of Defence’s newest recruits is leading the way at ADFA with a growing list of achievements.

OFFCDT Stephanie Hall has only been in the Air Force for six months but is our latest high flyer, receiving the 2005 Australian Students Prize for Senior Academic Achievement, awarded to 500 students from around Australia who excelled in their Year 12 studies. “I stayed motivated by setting goals and keeping my eye on them,” she said.

It was the pride of being in the Defence Force and job diversity that led OFFCDT Hall to study at ADFA, where she has maintained a high academic standard with a distinction average for the first semester of her Bachelor of Business.

“I wanted to do something a bit different, not just a desk job.

“I would really like to get into deployment logistics and be posted to Richmond, perhaps into one of the expeditionary combat support units.”

Last year Stephanie received the Gold level of the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award for her achievements in sport, community involvement and expeditions and was a representative for the Global Youth Leaders conference in Budapest, Vienna and Prague in 2003.
