Forming new friendships at the RAAF Museum

Volume 48, No. 10, June 15, 2006

THE tireless work of RAAF Museum volunteers was celebrated late last month with a dinner in the Point Cook Officers’ Mess.

CAF AIRMSHL Geoff Shepherd and Mrs Shepherd joined more than 100 people at the Friends of the RAAF Museum (FoRM) Annual Dinner.

FoRM President, WGCDR John Matthews, said the dinner is held to celebrate and publicly recognise the significant individual and group efforts of its members. “The FoRM is a volunteer support body dedicated to the preservation of the Air Force heritage through the provision of physical support to the RAAF Museum,” he said.

FoRM volunteers work in most areas of the museum, from aircraft restoration and maintenance and hosting duties through to traditional roles of research and curatorial support.
