Future decisions get guidance

Volume 48, No. 7, May 04, 2006

DEVELOPMENTS over the next 12 months within the Air Power Development Centre (APDC) will help deliver guidance to Air Force’s decision-makers.

In a visit to the Air Power Development Centre, CAF AIRMSHL Geoff Shepherd said, “I am confident that the centre will become an even more effective partner in guiding the Air Force into the future.”

GPCAPT Tony Forestier, Director of the APDC, briefed CAF on the changes being made at the centre.

He said that the APDC is reorganizing to strengthen its capacity to deliver guidance on air power development to Air Force’s decision-makers.

Major products over the next 12 months will be the Future Air and Space Operating Concept (FASOC) and the fifth edition of the AAP1000 publication on Air Force strategic doctrine.

While at the centre, CAF presented WOFF Howden Farrer with his Afghanistan Medal, recognising service in support of Operation Enduring Freedom during 2001 and 2002.
