Air Command Band
May 5: The Wind
Quintet will perform at the Government House Investitures. Members
of the Air Command Band will also perform a free concert featuring
solo and chamber works at St Peters Church, North Sydney, from
1.15pm to 1.45pm.
May 6 and 7: The Big Band will perform
at the Thredbo Jazz Festival. Performance times are 10.30pm-1am
on May 6 and 11am-12pm Big Band and 12pm-1pm Jazz Combo on May

May 12: A jazz combo will perform
at RAAF Base Williamtowns Autumn Ball, SGTs Mess,
from 7pm.
May 17: The Wind Quintet will perform
a free public concert at St James Church, 169-171 Phillip
St, Sydney, from 1.15pm-2pm.

Central Band
May 4: The Catalina
Wind Quintet will provide musical support for the School of Air
Navigation 60th Anniversary Cocktail Party at RAAF Base East Sale,
7pm.
May 6: The Concert Band will perform
at the Bright Autumn Festival Gala Day Parade at 2pm followed
by a concert at the Howitt Park Sound Shell at 3pm.
May 7: The Concert Band will perform
at the Bright Autumn Festival at the Howitt Park Sound Shell at
3pm.
May 10: The Ceremonial Band will
support the 1RTU Graduation Parade at RAAF Base Edinburgh at 1pm.

Air Force Annual
Submissions are called for the 2006 Air
Force Annual. The focus for this years book is recent
operational experience, ie the conduct of, and support to,
operations.
Submissions are invited covering not just the stories from those
deployed but also on those areas behind the scenes
and in Training Command. Stories should be 500-700 words and photos
should have 300dpi resolution.
Articles are required by May 31 and should be sent to craig.eager@defence.gov.au

Nutrition seminar
A seminar on the impact of nutritional intake
on the operational readiness of our personnel will be held in
Canberra on Tuesday May 9.
The seminar will focus on how you and your personnel can learn
more about healthy eating and will be hosted by dietitian Susie
Newman and will include guest speakers from Defence nutrition,
Dr Christine Booth and Ms Charina Kullen.
The seminar is open to anyone and will be held on May 9 at 9am-10am
