Taking the plunge for faith

Volume 48, No. 5, April 6, 2006

Imagery Analyst CPL Shane Donaghy, from the Defence Intelligence Training Centre, took the plunge recently when he was baptised by CHAP Kent Williams in the Kokoda Barracks swimming pool at Canungra. Due to the water restrictions enforced in Queensland, CHAP Williams opted for the swimming pool as it was the only large body of water in the area. The baptism took place in lane six, with the other lanes booked out by members practising for the Kokoda Swimming Carnival. CHAP Williams said, “Not only do I get to perform a baptism, but I also get the chance to have a quick swim after to cool off.”
