Digital one for the record

CHILDREN of Defence families will shortly be able to maintain an interactive digital record of their school years.

The Defence Community Organisation has released the Digital Student Portfolio which is maintained on CD and provides each student a complete record of their academic, sporting and social history for each of their school years.

The CD is provided to the child’s new school on arrival at a posting.

Also launched was “Travelling Teens: A Parents’ Guide to Relocation”.

Written by leading parenting author and counsellor Pam Linke, the book offers practical strategies and advice to help teenagers relocating to new schools, leaving old friends, and meeting new ones.

Complementing the book is a ‘Travelling Teens Z card’, a small wallet-sized reference card for teenagers to help make their moving easier and provide them points of contact if they are experiencing any difficulties with their move.
