Legacy support to ADF
LEGACY benefits are now available to dependants
of deceased memers of the ADF whose death is accepted as being
a Service death, thanks to a change in Legacy Code.
This means that help will be provided to families of deceased
members, no matter where or in what circumstances they die.
New missiles for Hornets
THE new long-range air-to surface missiles
for Air Forces F/A-18s have been announced.
Lockheed Martins Joint Air-to-Surface Stand-off Missile
(JASSM) will be operational on the aircraft by December 2009.
SAN celebrating 60
EAST Sales School of Air Navigation has
just turned 60 and will celebrate on May 4 with an Open Day and
dining in night.

386ECSS turns seven
RAAF Richmonds 386 Expeditionary
Combat Support Squadron turned seven last month and marked the
day with a birthday cake.
Youngest member of the squadron, LACW Casey-Jane Johnson, together
with Commanding Officer WGCDR Forster Breckenridge cut the cake,
which was later described by many as sensational.
AVMED the big 50
THE RAAF Institute of Aviation Medicine
(AVMED) turned the big 50 last month and will celebrate with activities
at RAAF Base Edinburgh on March 9 and 10.
AVMED was formed at Pearce in 1944 as the Aviation Medicine Flight.
It was renamed on July 1, 1960.
Gallipoli Tours
THE Milne Bay Military Museum in Toowoomba have
put together three packages for tours to Milne Bay, Port Moresby
and Rabual, one departing April 21, one departing June 23 and
one on August 24.
