PERSONNEL
at RAAF Base Pearce recently dug deep to support the Leukaemia
Foundations Worlds Largest Lunch fund-raising
promotion.
About 200 personnel raised $1009.65, or more than $50 each, while
enjoying an Asian lunch in the airmans mess.
Event co-ordinator Corporal Colin Hull declared the event a success.
I am extremely pleased with the generous support of base
personnel in raising such a large sum of money for such a worthy
cause, he said.
The money has now been forwarded to the foundation. All monies
raised will help provide funding to patients living with leukaemia,
lymphoma and myeloma.
It will also be used for further research into the killer diseases.
