The ABC of child care places

DEFENCE families across Australia will benefit from an extra 550 child care places under a major expansion of the Defence Child Care Program.

Six new ABC centres will increase the number of dedicated long day care places available to Defence families to 1545 by January next year. ABC Kensington, a 64-place centre in Sydney; ABC Townsville, a 131-place centre in Townsville; ABC Riverside Gardens, a 100-place centre in Townsville; ABC Salisbury North, a 90-place centre in Adelaide; ABC Smithfield, a 90-place centre in Adelaide; and ABC Palmerston, a 75-place centre in Darwin.

Defence families wishing to apply for positions, or join the waiting list at either the corporate centres identified above or any other Defence or ABC centre, can do so through ABC’s dedicated National Enrolment Call Centre number on 1800 222 543.
