WOFFs set standards for ACG
By Andrew Stackpool
AIR
Combat Group (ACG) has taken measures to ensure common-ality and
consistency of standards across the Group.
The inaugural squadron warrant officers workshop was held
recently, organised by Warrant Officer Dave Brewer, Air Combat
Groups Warrant Officer Disciplinary.
The aim was to provide all warrant officers an opportunity to
share ideas and concerns about activities within the Group and
provide training and updates about the Group to the squadrons
most senior non commissioned officers.
It also provided the Groups senior commanders the opportunity
to express their perspectives and expectations of the squadron
warrant officers roles.
The workshop comprised a series of formal presentations on a wide
range of legal, discipline and career management issues, including
examinations of the application of formal discipline and administrative
action and an examin-ation of airmen career management issues.
The workshop was of great value to management and senior airmen
leadership in Air Combat Group. It established a viable Group-wide
network and achieved equitable and consistent maintenance of formal
discipline and proactive leadership, supported by a consistent
standard of instructions, duties and responsibilities for the
employment of squadron warrant officers.
The role of the Groups discipline officers was also formalised.
