THE
Directorate of Force Structure Army is challenging all
Defence personnel, both civilian and military, in Canberra and
nearby regions during November 23-27 to join their Exercise Countdown
Walking Towards a Cure walkathon.
Starting at 8am on November 23 and finishing at 12pm on November
27, the 100-hour walk aims to:
- Raise
awareness across the Defence community about breast cancer and
other cancer related illnesses; and
- Raise
funds on behalf of the ACT branch of the Cancer Council to assist
research into breast cancer.
Participation
is open to uniformed and civilian Defence personnel at a cost
of $2 a head.
Also, areas may raise a minimum $150 and Dob in a Boss
to participate.
