Put a spring in your step to walk for a cure

THE Directorate of Force Structure – Army is challenging all Defence personnel, both civilian and military, in Canberra and nearby regions during November 23-27 to join their Exercise Countdown – Walking Towards a Cure walkathon.
Starting at 8am on November 23 and finishing at 12pm on November 27, the 100-hour walk aims to:

  • Raise awareness across the Defence community about breast cancer and other cancer related illnesses; and
  • Raise funds on behalf of the ACT branch of the Cancer Council to assist research into breast cancer.

Participation is open to uniformed and civilian Defence personnel at a cost of $2 a head.

Also, areas may raise a minimum $150 and “Dob in a Boss” to participate.
