WARRANT
Officer Ronald Pease, from No. 25 (City of Perth) Squadron, cites
one primary reason for his longevity in the Reserves.
Over the years I have met and worked with the most fantastic
people, he said.
Warrant Officer Pease recently had four decades of service with
the Air Force Reserve recognised.
A horticulturist in civilian life, on July 24, 2005, he received
a Chief of Air Force Commendation for his dedicated service.
He is the first-known reserve member to complete 40 years
service.
On July 24, 1965, the-then 18-year-old Ron Pease enlisted in the
Citizens Air Force as a General Hand. In 1967, he remustered
as a Surface Finisher and worked assiduously to gain his trade
skills.
Promotions followed and eventually he was promoted to Flight Sergeant.
In September 2000, he was promoted to acting Warrant Officer and
appointed as the Squadron Warrant Officer. He was confirmed in
rank in July the following year.
All of Warrant Officer Peases Active Reserve service has
been with No. 25 Squadron.
In addition to his CAF Commendation, Warrant Officer Pease received
a Prince of Wales Award in 1997 and the Federation Star in 2005,
in recognition of his long and dedicated service.
