New
posting process
THE
DEFENCE Housing Authority (DHA) has introduced a new initiative
to make the relocation process for Defence personnel and their
families smoother.
When members advise DHA of their posting, the organisation will
send them a letter with a tear-off card in a reply-paid envelope.
The member then ticks the boxes on the letter to confirm they
are moving and returns it to DHA in the envelope.
After it receives the letter, DHA will forward them a relocation
pack to their preferred mailing address, including their home
address. Their house will then be placed on HomeFind to assist
new families moving into that location.
DHA has introduced the new process in response to customer feedback.
By making it easier for Defence members to let DHA know that they
will be moving, the choice of homes available to all members will
increase earlier in the posting cycle, making the relocation process
easier for everyone.
More information about the relocation process
is available on the DHA web site, www.dha.gov.au
or by telephone 1800 249 711.
