Accurate data needed

PERSONNEL Management staff in DP-AF have an important message for all Air Force personnel: ensure that your personal details on PMKEYS are up to date.

PMKEYS is used for virtually each and every aspect of managing defence members and the importance of the completeness and accuracy of members’ personal data on

PMKEYS cannot be understated. At all levels of personnel and personal management, having the “whole picture” is vital to ensuring that a member’s needs can be addressed in an appropriate and timely manner.

Most personal data held by PMKEYS can be accessed via People Central. Points requiring member’s input are dependant’s details, current addresses, alternative and emergency contact details, married serving member, other serving relatives, etc. Completing the appropriate form available through web forms and submitting it to the shopfront or orderly room will easily update this information.

DP-AF Personnel Management staff also rely heavily on the information supplied in a members’ Employment Preferences and Restrictions (EPAR) form as input to posting deliberations.

Therefore, it is in everyone’s best interest to maintain a current EPAR that accurately reflects each member’s desired jobs and localities – a yearly review and update is considered to be the minimum.

For those with access to the DRN and People Central, on-line submission is now the only method for submitting a new EPAR.

For further information on any of these forms please contact your nearest orderly room. Remember, accurate data helps DP-AF to help you.
