A NEW web page detailing significant Air Force events has been created on RAAFWEB.

The RAAF Events site will provide information on all upcoming and previous CAF-endorsed events, including a range of official functions and ceremonies from across Air Force.

Site content manager Squadron Leader Owen Gardner, from the Directorate of Coordination-Air Force, said the new page would provide members with a useful and easily accessible tool to source information on official events.

“As soon as I get word of a function, this web page will be one of the first places this information will go,” he said.

“The site has only just been created, so it will continue to be developed along the way. In the future, it will have all upcoming events on it, as well as pictures from past events, so members who were unable to attend can have a look after it was held.”

He said any sort of significant Air Force event, primarily those attended by CAF, would feature on the site, including the annual Air Force Proficiency and Leadership Awards night and the Air Force Week commemorative service and cocktail party.

Other events could include star rank dining-out functions, official welcome home functions or commemorative ceremonies.

Once the Intranet site is fully developed, Squadron Leader Gardner said, an Internet page would be created to enable part-time Air Force members and the general public to easily access the same information.
