It also has dual warheads.

It is propelled by a single stage, single thrust solid propellant motor and maximum effective range is believed to be about 8km at a maximum speed of about 1500km/h..

Its dimensions
(depending on type) are:
Length: 180cm
Diameter: 17.5cm
Weight: 46kg

The ADF’s new Tiger armed reconnaissance helicopter has bared its teeth for the first time.

The chopper conducted the first test firings of an inert Hellfire missile at Woomera on May 28 and 31 as part of the first phase of certification of the missile for service use on the Tiger.

DMO and Australian Aerospace have worked together to integrate the American missile with a European platform.

The second phase will include the helicopter’s first firing of live missiles and is anticipated to be completed by August.

The Tiger’s armament comprises a 30mm cannon, rockets and the Hellfire.
