The
game:
Robotech Invasion is an Americanised cartoon that chronicles the
adventures of Scott Bernard and his crew as they fight the monstrous
Invid for control of Earth.
Straight up this appears to be technically obsolete and often unpolished
compared to the big budget games such as HALO 2.
As it is heavily based on foot and motorcycle action, it is classed
as both a first- and third-person shooter.
The
play:
The games 3D environments offer freeform action in expansive
outdoor locations swarming with absurdly stupid enemy AI
if you can side step and shoot youve mastered the game.
Controls for vehicles lack a realistic feeling of momentum, balance
and traction.
There are two parallel scenarios: playing as the second character
reveals a new perspective and plot details.

Cycle
warrior: The concept is good but the execution poor.

The
experience:
This game is quite underwhelming in the graphics department, but
it does offer a lot of on-screen action at any given time.
The one positive feature it is designed in such a way that
there is rarely, if ever, a segment of loading. Only where the environments
change dramatically do you have to stop and wait for one breath
before you continue.
In that solitary aspect its very well done just a shame
that the rest of the game is poor.
