Golf

THE 2005 ACT ISS Golf Series will be conducted at Mollymook Golf Club on the NSW South Coast from October 24-28. The event is a round robin scratch matchplay (no handicaps) and team selection is restricted to full-time serving members of the ADF. Team selection trials will be held during September/ October. Interested players should advise WGCDR Trevor Owens by email no later than August 5, with rank, first name, surname, Service number, PMKeyS number, phone number, work location, handicap and home club. Soccer

CANBERRA-based Defence soccer players are invited to try out for the Defence soccer team, which is participating in the Canberra public service soccer competition. They will compete against teams from a wide range of Canberra-based departments and the Australian National University. Games are played during lunch from 12.30pm. Nordic biathlon skiing

MEMBERS are invited to nominate for the Air Force and national inter-Service cross-country and biathlon skiing competitions. The competitions will be held at Mt Hotham, Victoria, from July 31 to August 12. No experience is required.
