ADF personnel move around a lot and our Where it’s @ column is aimed at introducing people to the best of their new town.

Frankston

Best live music:
The Pink Pelican (aka The Pelly Bar), The Monkey Bar (formerly The Saloon). Frankston also hosts the annual Frankston International Guitar Festival.

Best night club:
21st Century Dance Club (due to the fact that it is the only real night club in Frankston) ... although The Voodoo Lounge is pretty cool, but only after a few beers.

Best live music:
Shennanigans, Ducks Nuts, Lizard Lounge

Best pub:
The Pelly Bar. Flanagan’s Irish pub is next door, which isn’t bad, The Monkey Bar is good when there’s a band playing and all the recruits from HMAS Cerberus tend to hang around the Pint and Pickle (English pub).

Best cinema:
Frankston Village Cinemas, located on the exclusive Kananook Creek waterfront.

Best food:
The hotdog stand outside the best pub (their dim sims are exquisite). Ling Wah (Chinese), The Pier Hotel (pub food), The Grand (more pub food), The Pancake Kitchen (pancakes).
