INSTEAD
of purely dinky di local FM fodder, this double CD set
is full of international acts which may or may not be
your line of coke, sorry, diet coke.
There are some great songs on here which have justifiably
become part of Western civilisationss popular
culture and some pretty ordinary ones, which,
because of their sheer schlock value, are also classics.
Turn it on loud, tune out and remember Countdown on
the ABC if youre old enough.

A
MEGA concert held back in 1989 by the once-ageless Peter
Pan of pop music, Sir Cliff Richard does it deserve
to be digitised and turned into a double CD set?
Hard to say Sir Cliff hasnt exactly climbed
the charts in the past decade so, other than bringing
a warm flush of nostalgia to your mum, this would make
two nice, shiny drinks coasters.

AS
SOON as the first fluff-free album from The Cat Empire
came out, fans had their claws out for the next album.
The wait is over and Two Shoes will leave you purring
with satisfaction.
Recorded in Cuba, the Cats sound is a cheerful
mix of Latin, jazz and smooth alternative rock. Two
Shoes gets in your blood.
