New
Pacman is easier to use
AIR
Force members should be better able to understand their pay and
conditions with the release of the new ADF Pay and Conditions
Manual Version 2 (Pacman v2).
More than 100 Service personnel have contributed to rewriting
and reorganising the manual, making it easy to find the information
Servicemen and women need.
Pacman v2 contains almost everything personnel, administrators,
and commanders need to know about ADF pay and conditions of service.
It will come with a supplement called Pacmate, which includes
a comprehensive index to make it easy to find that tricky allowance.
The new documents are better organised and written in clear language.
The online versions will be kept up to date and the paper amendments
will be available nearly twice as fast as they used to be.
Air Force members can also go to the DEFWEB homepage. The pay
and conditions link is at the top.
Paper copies will be issued to units that need them by early July.
Before the manual goes live, the news will be sent out by signal,
Defgram, and through the chain of command.
Theres also a countdown to release on Defences web
sites.
The Members Guide to ADF Pay and Conditions of Service in
Australia has also been updated.
Its easier to read for everyone, including family members.
Look out for the 2005-2006 edition online when Pacman v2 is released,
or obtain a printed copy from the orderly room, shopfront or Customer
Service Centre by early July.
