3 Airfield Defence Squadron CO SQNLDR Simon Sauer and the
youngest member of the unit attending, AC James Hall, slice
into the unit’s 10th birthday cake, which was baked and
decorated by cook LACW Lauren Bishop from No. 382 Expeditionary
Combat Support Squadron. The unit was originally raised
part of the Ready Reserve Scheme, which was made defunct
in 1996. Airfield Defence Reserves transformed into the
Ground Defence Reserve Group.
