The
ADF Australian football competition will be played at Manuka Oval,
Canberra, on April 15, 17 and 19.
The season promises fireworks as Air Force and Navy seek to end
Army’s 18- year domination of the competition, while the women’s
teams, turning out for the second time in an inter-Service sport,
will continue to build their own traditions.
The competition will also be used to select the players to represent
the ADF in the AFL annual national men’s and women’s competitions.
Male players selected for the ADF All Stars team will compete
in the AFL Services Challenge Cup against the National Emergency
Services team at the Sydney Cricket Ground on April 23.
The game is the curtain-raiser to the Sydney Swans versus Melbourne
Demons match.
