IAN
Thompson puts a Latin spin on his approach to this year’s
guide on the first CD, whilst the album’s other mixer
GT borders on the edge of electronic on the second CD.
The 38-track double CD of house music will satisfy Housers
and Electro-lovers. A great way to start the year and
to get back into the clubbing mood.

A
22-track compilation of music drawn from the charts,
but seemingly a lower portion of the charts as some
of the featured artists on the album don’t have their
best material on this.
This album would be one I’d leave alone, but regular
Top 40 chart followers would find it worthwhile.

YOUNGER
R’n’B listeners would probably feel more at home listening
to the sounds of this new young artist Houston as his
lyrics focus on love and searching for it.
Houston teams up with a number of artists for his first
album, including Chingy, Nate Dogg, Letoya and Don Yute.
Older R’n’B fans would probably want to leave this one
alone.

THIS
is Janet Jackson’s eighth album release from her two-decade
career and probably the most feverish.
Though fans still favour Janet’s Velvet Rope and Rhythm
Nation 1814 albums, they place this very sexy series
of songs a close third.
