THE
set up of the Logistics Support Agency - Air Force (LSA-AF) is
one of the key initiatives to improve supply governance in the
Air Force.
The agency’s role is to ensure logistic support for Air Force
capabilities to meet responsibilities such as entitlements, supply
governance and materiel sustainment agreements.
LSA-AF Director Group Captain Mark Gower said personnel could
expect to see agency staff out discussing issues and listening
to concerns and suggestions about logistics.
“The LSA puts Air Force in a stronger position to influence the
development of new capabilities, including logistics systems and
joint logistics concepts and to rebalance and reshape Air Force
logistics inline with new capabilities,” GPCAPT Gower said.
“The LSA will drive the reforms needed to re-establish logistics
corporate governance.”
Staff are also redeveloping the supplier/clerk supply training
courses, introducing a SNCO supply trades course, pursuing supply
trades and cooks pay cases, re-introducing an entitlement management
system and reviewing the management of Air Force repairable items.
The LSA-AF is a Directorate within Air Force Headquarters and
integrates the former DLOG-AF.
Its staff are located at either Russell Offices or Northbourne
House, depending on which section they belong to.
