Give us
a call (see About us) or email us to discuss
your story and ideas. We can provide some more detailed advice that
is not covered in the general information below.
Sending
a story idea or information
Personnel who do not wish to write a story can contact the editor by
phone or email about a potential story. The editor may assign a reporter
to the story who will conduct interviews as necessary and may even travel
to your location.
Making
a submission
Submissions can be emailed to the editor as Word documents, email raafnews@defencenews.gov.au
(include "sec: unclassified" in the subject
field).
Keep the formatting to a minimum as we will format the material according
to our style. News articles should contain attribution so that it is
apparent where and whom the information is from.
Do not embed graphics or photographs in documents as they cannot be
used. Send graphics and photographs separately, in JPEG format at a
resolution of at least 200dpi and a size at least 15cm at the longest
point.
Air Force personnel may consider contacting base photographers to take
a photograph that is appropriate for the story.
