Rugby union
ADFA Women’s Rugby is seeking new players, administrators and co-coaches for the Canberra 2005 season.

Women play in the ACT women’s competition in 15s, 10s and 7s. Newcomers, former players or women interested in moving into a Defence team are welcome.

Rugby league
THE Combined Australian Services Rugby League (CASRL) national carnival is scheduled for April 12-17 at the Eastern Suburbs Rugby League Club in Brisbane. Army vs Air Force on April 13, Navy vs Air Force on April 15, and Navy vs Army on April 17.

The CASRL training camp will follow from April 18-22 and CASRL will play NZDFRL as the test match curtain raiser on April 22. For more information contact FSGT Aaron Smith on (02) 6265 2288.

Golf
WODONGA Country Golf Club will host the inaugural ADF Cup from April 11-13.

Incorporating the ADF Golf Association North- East Victoria Regional Golf Championships and the 23rd Royal Australian Army Ordnance Championship, the event is open to all serving and retired Defence members and contractors.

Cricket
SOUTH Queensland Air Force is playing South East Queensland Army and North Queensland Army in the 2005 Queensland Inter-Service Cricket Carnival from March 14-18 at 9.30am.

Hosted by North Queensland Army, the competition comprises six round robin games and a final between the top two teams.

It will be played at the Wanderers Cricket Club in Townsville. The inter-Service carnival is open to permanent and reserve members undertaking full time service. For more information contact FLTLT John Cody on (07) 5461 4008.
 
Dragon boating
THE NAVMAT Dragon Boat Racing Club is seeking new members for the 2005 season and the 2005 Australian Dragon Boat Championships to be held in Canberra from April 8-10.

Sailing
DEFENCE sailors are invited to participate in the 2004/05 Inter-Service Tasar Racing Championship and combined ADFSA and NSW Tasar championships to be held at Wangi Wangi on Lake Macquarie from March 24-28.

Service Tasars will be provided but private boats are encouraged. A fee of $100 is being levied to cover race expenses, entry fee and trophies.

Aussie rules
The ADFA Australian Football Club is looking for a male or female coach for its women’s team as well as a coach for its reserve team.

Interested people should submit a short application outlining suitability for the coaching position as well as attend a brief interview.

NSW Air Force Australian rules teams are invited to participate in the Kapooka 12s Australian rules competition. The competition will be played at Kapooka on March 19 as the precursor to the Australian rules season.

Bowling
The ACT/Southern NSW inter-Service tenpin bowling championships will be held on April 4 at the Queanbeyan Tenpin Bowling Centre.

Team selection is open to all Defence members. An order of merit will select the ACT combined Services team to compete in the ADF national tenpin bowling championships in Victoria from April 18-22.
