Tri-Service Bible on the way

By Leesha Furse

A NEW tri-Service Bible is being printed for distribution early next year.

Principal Chaplain (PCHA) Simon Hubbard, of the Navy Reserves, who is involved in its development, said the publication would include several pages of photographs of ADF members at work, Bible-reading aids and prayers.

“Recognising that the three Services increasingly operate together, the latest project is a Bible suitable for all Defence members, bearing the ADF crest and bound with a camouflage cover,” PCHA Hubbard said.

“It is hoped that this Bible will prove attractive and will serve as an encouragement to all Christians within the ADF, especially those who are deployed.”

The Bible will be the Contemporary English Version “which is very easy to read”.

PCHA Hubbard said the Bible should become available early in the new year and ADF members interested in obtaining a copy should inquire through their unit chaplains.
