Peter Hutchinson congratulates AIRCDRE Greg Evans.

AIR
Commodore Greg Evans has assumed command of the Australian forces
in the MEAO.
AIRCDRE Evans replaced Brigadier Peter Hutchinson on November
26.
Based in Baghdad, he is leading about 920 ADF personnel on service
in the Middle East to support Coalition stabilisation and reconstruction
efforts in Iraq.
Defence Minister Robert Hill said AIRCDRE Evans assumed command
at a critical stage of the rebuilding of Iraq, particularly as
it prepared for the first democratically-held elections in decades
an event that will stand as a pivotal moment in Iraqs
history.
AIRCDRE Evans had been in command of Air Lift Group since late
2002.
