are offering the ADF a strong recruitment pool. Assistant Secretary
Cadet Policy Kim Isaacs said anecdotally, cadets who inquired
about an ADF career were more likely to successfully enlist than
non-cadets.
“In 2003, 39 per cent of ADFA Cadets were former cadets,” she
said. Ms Isaacs said former cadets also generally stayed much
longer in the ADF and were more likely to reach a SNCO rank or
become a senior officer.
