Pinder OPERATION Catalyst logisticians, including Air Force members,
have attended a two-day conference to develop their expertise.
Representatives from the various force elements across the Middle
East and Headquarters in Baghdad gave presentations on their current
activities and heard from two major in-theatre contractors.
A highlight of the conference was a trip to one of the major US
military logistics bases to see the logistic infrastructure of
a major military organisation deployed on a large scale.
The conference also provided an ideal opportunity for participants
to network with their fellow ADF logisticians who are widely dispersed
supporting air, land and sea operations.
The Joint Task Force 633 principal logistics officer, Commander
Paul Mulcahy, was pleased with the interest from the various elements
and believed that all who attended the event – which was held
from September 29-30 – gained a lot out of it.
