New protocols for Comcare

DEFENCE Safety Management Agency has developed a set of protocols for personnel to use when communicating with Comcare.

The protocols give guidance about what forms of communication are acceptable and warranted between Defence and Comcare investigators in various types of situations.

Personnel are required by law to give reasonable assistance, answer any questions and provide any documents in connection with the conduct of Comcare investigations.

A copy of the protocols are available on the intranet at http://dsma.dcb.defence.gov.au under the Hot Issues and OHS Library bookmarks.

They will also be available on future editions of the Defence Outreach CD.
