2FTS milestone
All past and present qualified flying instructors are invited to functions to mark a milestone at No. 2 Flight Training School – the No. 200 Pilot Course Graduation.

Several activities are planned from December 8-10, including aerobatics displays, church service, parade and ball.

People interested in attending should phone (08) 9571 5117 and leave a message or email pea2fts.contact@drnex.defence.gov.au by November 1.

HF goodbye tour
A goodbye tour of the Bringelly and Londonerry sites followed by a dinner at RAAF Base Glenbrook will be held on December 1. This is to mark the end of the High Frequency Communications system, which is being replaced.

School dinner
A dinner will be held at RAAF Base Wagga on December 2 to mark the end of the School of Management, Training and Technology, which will close on December 31.

Dress will be summer Mess Kit (or suitable equivalent for other ranks). To attend email Carmel Freeman at carmel.freeman@defence.gov.au by November 1.

The unit is also producing a history of the school booklet and welcomes any stories or memories from associations with RAAFSMTT.

Air Command Band
October 27: The Air Command Band will perform a free public concert at St Andrew’s Cathedral, George Street, Sydney, from 12.30-1.30pm.
October 30: The Big Band will perform at the Wangaratta Festival of Jazz, Reid Street Stage, Victoria, from 7.10-8.10pm.
November 2: The Parade Band will attend the RAAF Base Richmond Parade.
November 3: The Chamber Musicians will perform a free public concert at St James Church, Phillip St, Sydney, from 1.15-2pm. The concert will feature the percussion ensemble. Contact the Air Command Band on (02) 4577 5742 or aircommandband@defence.gov.au.
