I WAS a little concerned when I heard that the
sequel to Doug Liman’s 2002 action fl ick The Bourne Identity
was under a different director, but Paul Greengrass has brought
the same intensity he put into Bloody Sunday.

FOR MANY years Long Tan was only vaguely remembered due to
the lack of a detailed history of the battle. That all changed
in 1987 when Lex McAulay released the book The Battle of Long
Tan.

MY
FIRST impression was ‘Oh no, not another World War II airman’s
autobiography’. However, I was pleasantly surprised and found
it most enjoyable and hard to put down.

TAKE
a singer named Myron, a drummer who calls himself Jeremiah
Pilbeam, add Jeff on guitar and Patrick on bass and you have
the Dirty Americans – the so-called “raunchy, acid-drenched
rock quartet from America”.
