THE
logistics support provided to ADF units in the MEAO has received
praise from two senior officers. Head of Strategic Operations
Air Vice-Marshal Christopher Spence and Chief of Joint Logistics
Major-General Peter Haddad, recently visited the Middle East.
They were impressed by the logisticians who confronted the challenges
of a long supply chain, which is linked by logistic information
systems technology.
“The MEAO is the top priority for the improvement and modification
of equipment,” MAJGEN Haddad said. “In the high technology battlefield, introduction and immediate application of new technology
in the field has become the normal part of operations.
“This requires logisticians to be ready with spares and maintenance
programs to ensure that new and modified equipment is available
for use.”
