Force personnel in the Middle East are not just following the
fortunes of the Australian team at the Athens Olympics.
They are also taking pride in the performances of Iraqi athletes
who they helped to realise their dream of competing at the Games.
In Operation Iraqi Spirit, a C-130 crew transported the 48-member
Iraqi team from Baghdad International Airport on the first leg
of the journey to the 2004 Olympic city on August 8.
