History display

AN AIR Force history display has gone on show in R1, Canberra, until August 20 and is available to other bases, units and squadrons to use for events. Booklets showing both sides of each of the panels are being distributed to all base military administrators or PAOs, and selected overseas offices.

The entire display, or individual panels, is available for use.

The panel themes are:

• Australian Military Aviation and World War I;
  
• 1921-1939; World War II;
  
• Post War 1946;
  
• Women in the Air Force;
  
• South East Asia and Vietnam;
  
• Peacekeeping; the 1980s, 90s and Gulf War;
  
• 2000 – A New Century; and Proving Our Worth.
  
  The display was produced by Air Force Headquarters with photographic research and assistance from Warrant Officer Ray Bennell, of AFHQ, and Craig Edwards, of the Ground Neg Library at RAAF Base Williams, Point Cook.
