THE
urgency to repair and limited equipment and supplies meant that
RAAF mechanics had to improvise to get vehicles moving in the
New Zealand Variety Club Bash.
Sergeant Jeff Stephenson and Corporal Ross Graham drove the
support mechanical vehicle that was called on to fix the car
problems. Sergeant Tanya Baldwin was the third RAAF member who
helped the Royal New Zealand Air Force in the bash. The event
raises money for children’s charities.
It was held over seven days touring the South Island of New
Zealand from Christchurch through Akaroa, Methven, Greymouth,
Hanmer Springs and finishing in Nelson.
