All
the members of the Australian and New Zealand Air Forces
who took part in this year’s exchange. The Ohakea Maori
Cultural Group welcomed the Australians with a haka.
|
EVERY
year the RAAF and Royal New Zealand Air Force (RNZAF) exchange
two junior officers and eight airmen or airwomen of Corporal
and Sergeant ranks each year for three months (normally from
March to May).
The Anzac Exchange program is designed to broaden the experience
and professional knowledge of personnel selected to take part.
It also promotes cooperation between the ADF and New Zealand
Defence Force (NZDF) by providing opportunities for Australians
to be involved in another culture.
They get to know the other country’s military procedures, equipment,
operational, logistical and administrative procedures and personnel.
