Netball team aims for Cup

THE ADF Netball Association’s women’s team will be out to bring home the Anzac Cup to Australian soil when it tours New Zealand in July.

The ANZAC Cup Challenge, will take place from July 10-18 following the team’s training camp in Sydney from July 6-9. The competition began in 1995.

During the first few years, the Cup was successfully retained in Australia, however it has been held by New Zeland since 2003 when the team played in Australia and went home undefeated.

The team includes two Air Force personnel – Corporal Ngari Cannons, of No. 92 Wing AVCIS at RAAF Edinburgh, and Flight Lieutenant Kate Dixon, of Headquarters Defence Force Recruiting in Canberra.
